    Abstract
Accor has stepped into the short-term rental sphere with their new launch of Apartments & Villas. Much like Marriott, guests can use their loyalty points after each booking. Accor is hoping this new brand will offset short-term rental platforms and drawl it's loyalty members back over to their properties. Research is indicating that short-term rentals have not been hit as hard as the hotel industry over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
