Women of AHLAF: Focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Lodging Magazine sat down with American Hotel & Lodging Association Foundation Diversity & Inclusion Committee members to learn more about their passion, focus, and goals surrounding the task force. Malaika Myers and Julienne Smith discussed the importance of women and people of color in all aspects of leadership across the hotel industry. The goal of the task force is to move diversity into all aspects of the hotel industry and make people more aware on what they can to do implement diversity in each level of hospitality. Myers and Smith are hopeful that their work on the task force will help the industry become more aware of inclusion and provide tools to assist them with achieving inclusion throughout their entire organizations.
