Abstract
Humans, although many are reluctant to admit it, are reliant on the health of the biosphere for their survival. Certain threats to the biosphere are very complex, like biodiversity loss, while others are fairly simple, like atmospheric carbon dioxide. While human may not be able to solve problems of biodiversity, they do have the ability to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In order to save the health of the planet, the illusion that climate change isn t a sign of a suffering biosphere needs to end and plans need to be made to stay within the biosphere s assimilative capacity for carbon dioxide.
