Hertzler, Ann A.

 

Ann Hertzler is professor emerita of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise at Virginia Tech. In 1999, Ann was the driving force behind the creation of the "Peacock-Harper Culinary History Collection," which she helped to expand into the Culinary History Collection. In 2005 she endowed the "Ann Hertzler Children's Cookbooks and Nutrition Literature Archive" at Newman Library, the first collection of its kind. Dr. Hertzler earned a Ph.D. in Nutrition from Cornell University. She worked for 10 years at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and for 20 years on the faculty at Virginia Tech.
