University communications programs recognized with professional awards

BLACKSBURG, Va., Sept. 28, 2007 – Two Virginia Tech communications programs produced by the Office of University Relations were recently recognized with Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence national awards.

Among the awards received by Virginia Tech:

CASE is the largest international association of educational institutions and is dedicated to helping member institutions build stronger relationships with alumni and donors, raise funds for campus projects, produce recruitment materials, market their member institutions to prospective students, diversify the profession, and foster public support of education.

Circle of Excellence Awards recognize the highest caliber of work from across the United States and Canada. Qualified professionals from education and the private sector judge the categories. This year, 701 institutions submitted more than 3,163 entries in the Circle of Excellence awards program.
