ROANOKE, Va., Sept. 17, 2010 – Virginia residents in the Richmond area can now hear more NPR and BBC public radio programming on 92.5 FM.
WVTF’s RADIO IQ schedule of all news, talk, and discussion programming can now be heard 24 hours a day on 92.5 FM. This programming repeats the RADIO IQ broadcasts from Charlottesville. The RADIO IQ weekday schedule features popular NPR news and talk programs:

“RADIO IQ is being offered to citizens in the Richmond area to better serve residents with a deeper layer of public radio programming,” said Glenn Gleixner, general manager of WVTF and RADIO IQ. “Much of the RADIO IQ schedule is unique to the market, and over the past few years we’ve had many in the Richmond community ask us to bring RADIO IQ to the capital city. We are excited and pleased to join the public radio community in this vibrant region of the state.”
WVTF Public Radio and RADIO IQ are public radio broadcast services of Virginia Tech, serving nearly 150,000 listeners in central and southwest Virginia, southern West Virginia, and northern North Carolina. WVTF provides listeners with classical, jazz, and NPR programs. Its companion station, RADIO IQ, broadcasts BBC and NPR news, talk, and discussion programs.
