Missing Virginia Tech student is found and is safe

BLACKSBURG, Va., Nov. 18, 2010 – 5:33 p.m. update: Authorities have located missing Virginia Tech student, Gregory B. Frassmann, Jr. . He is safe.

Virginia Tech Police would like to thank the university community and the general public who provided valuable assistance in this search.

5:10 p.m.: Virginia Tech Police are looking for a missing Virginia Tech student, Gregory B. Frassmann, Jr. 

Frassmann is a white male; 19 years old; 6 foot, 2 inches tall; 350 pounds; blonde hair; blue eyes; light complexion; and wears glasses. A photo is attached.

He was last seen at approximately 3 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at his residence in West Ambler Johnson Hall on the Virginia Tech campus.   He was reported missing today at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Frassmann is a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering.

 Authorities ask anyone who has information about Frassmann to notify the Virginia Tech Police at (540) 231-6411 or to contact their local law enforcement agency.
