The expo, which is being sponsored by IIIT and the Northern Virginia Graduate Student Assembly, will focus on research in architecture and urban studies, business administration, computer science, engineering, human resources and education, information technology, natural resources, and science and technology studies.
Graduate students and faculty members will present posters and give informal oral presentations, and there will also be a slide show giving a virtual tour of Virginia Tech laboratories in Northern Virginia.
Part of the purpose of the exposition is to pull together the diverse Tech research that takes place in Northern Virginia>, such as at the Washington-Alexandria Center of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies and the Alexandria Research Institute, Stone said.
It will draw the Virginia Tech community, companies that already sponsor Tech research and others from industry who do not, and Tech graduate students who work in Northern Virginia.
