BLACKSBURG, Va., April 10, 2007 – Virginia Tech's Recreational Sports will hold the fifth annual Fitness Around The World class, presented by Subway, Sayre Promotional Products and participating sponsor Hawthorn Suites.

This Latino/Africano/Caribbeano dance workout will be taught by Kukuwa Nuamah and will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16th in McComas Hall Gym. The class is free and open to all Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff. The first 100 participants will receive a free Subway gift certificate and a free tee-shirt.

“We scheduled the event purposely during International Week to offer a fun cultural activity for the Virginia Tech community,” said Marketing Manager Cathy Kropff. “We are excited to invite faculty and staff to come out and enjoy this unique event with the students in honor of International Week.”

Nuamah is an internationally acclaimed African dance performer, dance choreographer, fitness dance instructor. She is knowledgeable of African dance which covers a vast array of African ethnic groups. Kukuwa travels all across the United States and abroad presenting her Kukuwa Dance Workout, LAC® Master Classes at gyms, studios, health clubs and resorts.
