BLACKSBURG, Va., March 31, 2009 – Zenobia Lawrence Hikes, Virginia Tech’s previous vice president of student affairs, was honored posthumously by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Foundation’s as a “Pillar of the Profession” at the 2009 NASPA Annual Conference held in Seattle, Wash., earlier this month.
Hikes was one of 12 student affairs professionals honored with this award. She served as vice president of student affairs from 2005 until her passing in October 2008.
