God Loves the Hokies When evil arrived, the wind was bitter and strong, That dark and terrible day, everything went wrong. Innocent lives were cast into great fear, Horrified hearts felt the end was near. God and his angels looked down from the sky, They saw the hokies pain and began to cry. The cold Blacksburg air turned their tears into flurries, God quickly told his angels “get to the hokies in a hurry!” The angels flew down and out stretched their hands, They said “lets go hokies, to a safe, peaceful land.” As they flew up to heaven, the clouds spelled “VT,” They felt no more pain and their frightened souls were free. God greeted his hokies with the strongest, undying love, And the hokies began to explain what a “hokie” is to all in heaven above. They promised to watch over Va Tech from their spots in the sky And said no hokie would be on campus without feeling their love close by. By: Brittany Michelen
