    Abstract
Michael Kuczynski is an associate professor of English at Tulane University specialized in Middle English literature. The Facsimilist's Tale, being a perambulation through the early history of manuscript surrogates by way of the career of Thomas Wilson, schoolmaster of Leeds (d. 1760), with some implications for current digital technologies.
