When scientists listen to analyses of existing evidence, they usually can decipher which analysis is supported by a preponderance of evidence, and if no clear evidence emerges they wait until adequate information is available. Public relations _spin doctors on the other hand, take the responsibility of presenting evidence that supports the goal of their client. If contrary evidence exists, PR specialists leave that evidence out and claim that it is the responsibility of someone else to present. However, traditionally, and especially in the 21st century scientists have had difficulty explaining science and communicating scientific discoveries to the general public. In fact, the biggest weapon in the anti-global warming debate has been the uncertainty of science, because of scientists failure to communicate the scientific process to the public.
