    Abstract
This project was conducted to examine seismic design requirements in areas of low seismic activity. To accomplish this study two designs of a hypothetical four story office building were completed. The first design was completed for gravity and wind loads. The second design was completed for gravity and seismic forces. Comparisons of both designs were made to examine differences in member sizes, support conditions and the design of fully restrained connections.
