Abstract
Kathleen Alexander, associate professor of wildlife in Virginia Tech's College of Natural Resources and Environment, has discovered a novel tuberculosis species in the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex, a group of pathogens that have adapted using mammals as hosts.
