Agricultural policy reform in the context of trade liberalization and climatic variability: The case of Morocco

This paper examined a wide-ranging set of development strategies and policies in light of the internal risks from climate and the external risks from world markets. First, the authors reviewed the changes that have occurred in Moroccan agriculture, particularly the cereals sector, over the past three decades. Then they examined the changes that have occurred in the agricultural and trade policy arenas. Finally, the future policy areas and option that are important for Morocco were also examined.
