    Abstract
The report reviews five evaluations that were conduct in late summer 2004. Each evaluation was undertaken by a three-person team of USAID staff form USAID/REDSO and USAID Missions in Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and Uganda. They were joined by three professionals from two of USAID's implementing partners in that region. All were trainees in an Evaluation Certificate Course taught by MSI Inc. of Washington, DC. The proprietary training was commissioned by the Bureau for Africa and USAID/REDSO.
