Abstract

The Kanla-on Spring Water Plant (KSWP) operated by La Tondeña Distillery, Inc., draws its water supply from within the boundaries of the Mt. Kanla-on Natural Park. As a result of the company's dependence on the upstream forested watershed they have undertaken activities to support farmers with sustainable agroforestry. The project has resulted in approximately 100 thousand fruit trees being planted, the creation of two local nurseries, several social development projects, and technical training for 51 farmers.
