    Abstract
This presentation examines the policy incentives for smallholders in vegetable agroforestry production. The research reveals that while generic incentives for the adoption of vegetable agroforestry systems in Vietnam and in the Philippines have a positive impact, these programs are insufficient to encourage widespread adoption amongst smallholders. The presentation concludes with suggestions for scaling up incentive structures geared towards smallholders.
