Abstract

This presentation provides a brief overview of the Gendered Knowledge Cross Cutting Research Activity (CCRA-7) and qualitative research techniques and focus group methods. The Gendered Knowledge activity seeks to address the question of how women's knowledge and access to/control of resources contributes to conservation agriculture adaptation and adoption for smallholders. Focus group activities led by the Managing Entity include a resource generator to identify the who and where of how resources are accessed, practices and participation of men and women, and perceptions activities involving the use of pictures and soil samples.
