    Abstract
This undergraduate honor's thesis evaluates five crops in terms of their feasibility in SANREM project area. The project is looking for alternatives to potato-pasture rotations. Oats and two types of legumes were shown to be promising alternatives due to their yields and impacts on soil quality.
