He then continues by describing the land use practices, including the socioeconomic factors, which have led to great amounts of soil erosion. The tourism potential for the region is also discussed. Finally, he concludes with describing a multifaceted approach to conserve the biodiversity of the region while simultaneously addressing the socioeconomic needs of the local people.
