MetadataShow full item record
Conservation agriculture is a technique used to conserve soil and build the nutrient base in production systems while utilizing cover crops, reduced-tillage, and rotations. However, it also requires the use of chemical herbicides. This publication provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities associated with organic conservation tillage. Winter-kill cover crops, timeliness of rolling/crimping, and advances in no-till machinery are covered with a realistic perspective in this segment of the series: Twelve Steps Toward Ecological Weed Management in Organic Vegetables.
