Travelling exhibit that focuses on the resistance group the White Rose. In 1942 and 1943, the Munich resistance group White Rose distributes six pamphlets against the Nazi dictatorship and calls for the immediate end of the war. In February 1943, the inner circle of the White Rose, consisting of students and a professor, is arrested. In two show trials they are sentenced to death; supporters are dealt long prison sentences. Comrades in other cities carry on leadership of the resistance, and their persecution, along with several arrests, continues until the end of the war.
47 text and image panels describe the genesis of the White Rose, its resistance actions, its connections to other resistance groups, and its destruction by the Nazi judiciary.
This exhibit is presented by White Rose Foundation e.V. of Munich, Germany. 2018/03/12 - 2018/03/30
