In this thesis we study measures of verification, accuracy determination, and implementation of limited-area research and operational weather prediction models. We give a complete description of the implementation of the multivariate autoregressive research model. This includes a FORTRAN program and three order selection routines. We conclude with a discussion on possible extensions of our results and other applications.en
