The Center for the Education of Women at the University of Michigan conducted a national survey of U.S. institutions of higher education in 2002, examining the prevalence of family-friendly policies offered to higher education faculty and inquiring about the administration of those policies. In 2007, they replicated and enhanced the questionnaire and again surveyed a representative sample of institutions across the country. The results enable them to assess changes and progress in the provision of such policies and to report on the status of family-friendly policies in higher education in 2007.en
