The literature review aims to identify how the NCAA Transfer Portal affects student-athletes’ professional career development. Many athletes, fans, and spectators do not realize the effects the transfer portal has on student-athletes' cognitive, behavioral, and environmental identities. These are all factors influencing the future of these student-athletes' professional lives.
