Perceptions of an abuse of privacy protection is a growing obstacle to speed monitoring and red-light-running applications. Many states and numerous localities have barred the use of technology for these safety applications. This report offers a detailed review, from a legal and operational perspective, of how personal privacy is (or is not) protected.
