Journal of Applied Physics, 58(10), 3697-3702. doi: 10.1063/1.3356310021-8979http://hdl.handle.net/10919/51980Reconstruction of current density in electron beams is complicated by distortion of phase space which can require very fine discretization of the beam into trajectories. An efficient discretization of phase space is exploited, using conservation of charge and current in hypertriangle patches, to reconstruct the current density by fitting Gaussians through the distorted hypertriangles. Advantages and limitations are discussed.application/pdfenIn CopyrightCurrent densityElectron beamsCharged currentsComputer simulationComputer simulation of electron beams. II.
