Virginia Tech Libraries, in partnership with the Office of Senior Vice President and Provost, offer an open access (OA) subvention fund of $50,000 to subsidize article processing fees for scholarly peer-reviewed articles accepted for publication in open access or hybrid OA journals. A primary goal of the program is to enable authors to engage in new transformational open publishing environments. The program aligns with the University Libraries strategic direction to support the research endeavors of the VT faculty and students, including the process of providing unrestricted access to digital research and scholarship.
