Crop productivity has been declining because of soil erosion on the steep slopes of the Andes and because of limited financial resources and access to agricultural supplies. This study aims to understand the linkages between environmental risk, risk management strategies, and technical efficiency with potato production. The collected data suggests that by using risk mitigation techniques and environmental diversification, potato production has the potential to increase in these areas.application/pdfenIn CopyrightCash cropsIncome generationSoil erosionWomenSoil fertilityGISVulnerability and riskSurvey research methodsHot-spot analysisActivity diversificationClusteringSpatial analysisPotato productionAndesBoliviaRisk managementFarm/Enterprise Scale Field ScaleThe role of risk mitigation in production efficiency: A case study of Bolivian potatoes producersPresentation
