The opening reception was held on October 1st, 2015 from 10 am to noon at the Newman Library, 560 Drillfield Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24061. The video of the opening reception features speakers Pamela Vickers, Tyler Walters, and Jana Doyle. Initiated by Saint Louis University's Anne Marie Carroll and developed by other graduate students studying disability in higher education and society under the direction of Karen Myers, Ph.D., The Ability Exhibit launched in 2010.
