We have observed that the superconducting temperature in the high Tc YBa₂Cu₃O6 + δ as system decreases if copper is substituted by Ni and Zn and the substitution of Zn affects Tc much more than Ni. We discuss our results in terms of pair breaking by magnetic impurities and in terms of the Resonance Valence Bond model proposed by Anderson.vi, 50 leavesBTDapplication/pdfIn CopyrightLD5655.V855 1987.S625SuperconductivityComposition dependence of superconductivity in YBa₂(Cu1-xAx)₃O6+δ system with A = Zn, NiThesishttp://scholar.lib.vt.edu/theses/available/etd-04122010-083602/
