Wilkins, District Conservationist, Blue Ridge District. The larger peaches were selected from trees irrigated in Aug. 1946; the small from trees in the same row but no receiving water. Soil and other factors apparently identical. Electric pump lifts water 75' from farm pond to the size acre peach orchard.
