The frame of reference used was Everett Laitala’s consumer-to-consumer cycle which separates industrial effort on the common basis of function. The explanation of the possible application and the guidelines developed for use have been very general in nature because the diverse industrial situations to which the theory may be applied prevent detailed instructions from being valid in all cases.
