Frontend development concentrated on the query language specification and the translation of SQL query to Cyrano representation. The data models considered in the design included two relational, one object-oriented, one hierarchical, and one network model. A sample SQL query was translated into derived Cyrano classes to resolve the heterogeneity in database names and attribute names.
