Prysby, Michelle D.2020-12-222020-12-222020-11-11http://hdl.handle.net/10919/101594In this publication, we describe the common categories of risk Virginia Master Volunteers may encounter as part of their learning and service in the program. We give examples of specific risks in each category, and we describe recommended strategies for VMN volunteers to follow. While this publication is not a comprehensive list of all possible risks, it should make volunteers aware of typical risks and guide their identification of and planning for the particular risks of their activities. At the end are several worksheets to help volunteers plan for and document risk management plans.10 pagesapplication/pdfen-USVirginia Cooperative Extension materials are available for public use, re-print, or citation without further permission, provided the use includes credit to the author and to Virginia Cooperative Extension, Virginia Tech, and Virginia State University.Safety and Risk Management for Virginia Master Naturalist VolunteersExtension publicationhttps://www.pubs.ext.vt.edu/content/dam/pubs_ext_vt_edu/CNRE/cnre-124/CNRE-124.pdfNature conservationVolunteersRisk assessmentrisk reduction
