Deconstruction is described in its philosophical context and as a form of literary criticism. This deconstruction is compared with recent architectural projects influenced by Derrida’s ideas, with particular attention to Parc de la Villette by Tschumi. Deconstruction as a design tool is compared to traditional design synthesis, and various methods of applying deconstruction to landscape architecture are described.viii, 158 leavesBTDapplication/pdfenIn CopyrightLD5655.V855 1993.S652Deconstructivism (Architecture)Landscape architecture -- PhilosophyParc de La Villette (Paris, France)Deconstruction in landscape architectureThesishttp://scholar.lib.vt.edu/theses/available/etd-01172009-063230/
