Some of the farmers attended local workshops discussing the forecasts and shared the data with others. Some farmers did not attend the workshops, but two-thirds of non-participants interviewed received the forecast from other participants. These findings support the hypothesis that participatory workshops can play a positive role in the provision of climate services to rural African producers.text/plainen-USIn CopyrightEnvironmental impactsClimate controlCommunity participationClimate changeBurkina FasoParticipatory workshopsEcosystemFrom accessing to assessing forecasts: An end-to-end study of participatory climate forecast dissemination in Burkina Faso (West Africa)AbstractCopyright Springer Science + Business Media B.V. 2008https://doi.org/10.1007/s10584-008-9445-6
