These examples convey the basic principles, methods and processes vernacular builders employed to utilize natural forces entirely in dealing effectively with their relative environments. This thesis hopes to stimulate the insight and increase the awareness of the architect to his function of providing efficient and responsive structures while utilizing the vast number of diverse materials available today. The various ideas are conveyed by the combination of simple drawings and accompanying text. This method intends to "synthesize" these basic ideas calling attention to the information and knowledge contained in the "vernacular."xi, 212 leavesapplication/pdfenIn CopyrightLD5655.V855 1977.L47Architecture and climateArchitecture, DomesticArchitectureVernacular ideasThesis
