The seminar is organized around the topic "Glorious Revolution to Independence: England and America in the Long 18th Century." Gartner has been invited to discuss "Primary Faith: American Transcendentalism as a Manifestation of Protestant Inner Light Spirituality." In addition, Gartner was awarded a $1,000 St. Mary's College of Maryland seminar fellowship.
