    Roger Dow, President of U.S. Travel, and Chip Rogers, President & CEO of AHLA, congratulate President Biden and Vice President Harris on behalf of the hotel and travel industries. Dow and Rogers remain focused on bringing relief and travel back to the United States market as 2021 continues. Rogers acknowledges the need for Congress to come together in an effort to relieve the hotel industry with an additional stimulus package. Dow remained concerned regarding the impact of Biden's executive orders on the travel sector.

    Travel Leaders announce support for New Hospitality and Jobs Recovery Act

    Many travel organizations, including AHLA, American Gaming Association, and the Nevada Resort Association actively support the new bipartisan relief bill making its way through Congress. Relief for the Hotel Industry has never been needed more than it does now as hotels, mainly franchised, report continued layoffs and job loss. Researchers indicate without relief, 50% of travel supported jobs will be lost by year end.
