    n Virginia, numerous farm ponds have aquatic weeds. Many of these aquatic weeds are edible. This publication describes four common aquatic weeds that are found in these ponds. The various plant parts are described as food and therapeutic usages.

    Liming Farm and Recreational Ponds

    Maintaining good water quality for farm ponds is critical for having a productive fish population. Many farm ponds lack minimal water quality parameter necessity for having a productive pond. Adding agricultural lime to a farm pond improves this by increasing the hardness, alkalinity and providing a stable pH.
