- Export Promotion of Organic Products from Africa (EPOPA)SIDA (Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency) (2007-07-20)Since 1997 Sida (Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency) has financed a programme to promote exports of organic products from Africa. The latest evaluation made in 2004 showed a high impact and significant improvements in the livelihood of some 27,000 farmers from Uganda and Tanzania. In the end of March SIDA decided to prolong the EPOPA programme up to 2008. The total volume of the EPOPA prolongation is 7 Million Euros.

(Bogor, Indonesia: World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), 2004)This report presents the findings of a study to explore constraints and potential to addressing important aspects of poverty in Vietnam Uplands through rewarding the upland poor for environmental services they provide. The study was done by a team of three Vietnamese researchers, under the coordination and supervision of the International Center for Research in Agroforestry in South East Asia (ICRAF SEA). The study was done to provide information for use by the Program Rewarding the Upland Poor in Asia for Environmental Services They Provide (RUPES) and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) in planning future activities.
- WWF initiative for capacity building and on-the-ground PES project developmentWorld Wildlife Fund (WWF); SIDA (Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency) (2007-07-06)With traditional sources of funding dwindling, a variety of PES and related schemes have emerged as potential sources of sustainable financing for conservation. Yet thus far most PES are small in size, cumbersome to manage and are not rural-poor friendly. This WWF program seeks to address these limitations by focusing on how to scale-up current PES and other sustainable financing schemes so that they deliver substantial and long-lasting conservation while alleviating rural poverty.
