- Wetbud: A model for mitigation wetland designThompson, Theresa M.; Daniels, W. Lee; Whittecar, G. R.; Agioutantis, Z. (2016-08-30)Wetlands provide habitat, improve water quality, control erosion, and store flood water.
- Wetbud: A wetland hydrologic design modelThompson, Theresa M.; Daniels, W. Lee; Whittecar, G. R.; Agioutantis, Z. (2016-05-24)Due to ease of computation, mitigation wetland designers have developed wetland water budgets assuming the wetland actedasa “bathtub,” assuming little to no interaction with ground water. However, most natural wetlands are dynamically linked to groundwater. Wetbud provides designers a spatially and temporally discretized method for calculating wetland water budgets that considers ground water flows, stream and overbank inputs, and flow resistance from wetland vegetation.
