U.S. Land Border Closures With Canada and Mexico Extend to June 21

Abstract

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced the boarders with Mexico and Canada will remain closed until at least June 21, 2021. The economic devastation the closure of the borders have had on businesses dependent on border travel is devastating. Unfortunately, the United States, Mexico, and Canada cannot see eye-to-eye on restrictions and procedures. The United States leads both border countries in vaccination numbers.
