His visit will focus on the relationships between physical and digital facsimiles of medieval manuscripts and the implications for digital research. The Facsimilist's Tale, being a perambulation through the early history of manuscript surrogates by way of the career of Thomas Wilson, schoolmaster of Leeds (d. 1760), with some implications for current digital technologies.en
