Abstract

Composite floor systems are designed using a commercially available computer program, SDI Floor. A wide variety of possible floor configurations are explored, which cover the likely range of actual floor variations. Results from computer aided design using SDI Floor is presented with respect to dollars per square foot of floor area. A regression analysis is done using the data obtained from SDI Floor. Suggestions are made to assist the designer in creating an economical composite floor design.
