Abstract

In this report, the authors argue that the fate of Africa's natural resources cannot be separated from the broader context of economic and development challenges. In addition, the authors state that Africa's economic and development future cannot be separated from the management of its natural resources. This dialogue recommends that the traditional approaches to investments in natural resources management must now be based on economic rationality and should address issues of governance and equity.
