Abstract
Introduction: Most PES transactions involve three distinct stakeholder groups: buyers, sellers, and intermediaries. Each of these groups can consist of individuals, organizations, even governments. This brief summarizes important characteristics of these groups, including their motivations to enter into a PES transaction.
